Notice to Mariners

Oswego Canal

May 23, 2026

 

The New York Canal Corporation has been informed by Brookfield Power that the installation of hazard       buoys at their power generation facility dams has been delayed at the following locations.  

• Oswego Canal Lock O-2 in Fulton.
• Oswego Canal Lock O-3 in Fulton
• Oswego Canal Lock O-5 in Minetto.
• Oswego Canal Lock O-7 in Oswego.

 

Boaters should avoid approaching dams and hydro facilities in these areas and remain in navigation channels when approaching locks until further notice. Please contact Brookfield Power for further information.
