Notice to Mariners

Champlain Canal – Halfmoon

May 20, 2026

 

Mariners are advised of diving survey activities for the presence of round goby, aquatic invasive species, immediately above Champlain Canal Lock C-2 in Halfmoon. These activities will be conducted on Thursday, May 21st and Friday, May 22nd.

The inspection area will be marked by a dive boat and commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Boaters should reduce speed and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when transiting this area, and under no circumstances exceed 5 mph.
