Notice to Mariners
Champlain Canal – Waterford to Stillwater
October 31, 2025
Mariners are advised that Champlain Canal Lock C-1 in Waterford to Lock C-4 in Stillwater is closed to navigation until further notice due to a mechanical issue at Lock C-3. Crews are on site. Updates will follow.
Boaters should plan their itineraries accordingly.

The Canal system is scheduled to close to navigation at 6:00 pm on Monday, November 3, 2025. All commercial and recreational vessel operators must plan their trips accordingly to ensure they exit the system by that time.
