Notice to Mariners

Champlain Canal – Fort Edward to Comstock

October 17, 2025

 

Mariners are advised that the Champlain Canal from Lock C-7 in Ft. Edward to Lock C-11 in Comstock that was announced as closed in a previous Notice to Mariners has reopened for navigation.

The Canal system is scheduled to close to navigation at 6:00 pm on Monday, November 3, 2025. All commercial and recreational vessel operators must plan their trips accordingly to ensure they exit the system by that time.
