Notice to Mariners

Oswego Canal and Cayuga Lake – Oswego Fulton Minetto and Ithaca

Update

Mariners are advised that in addition to the previously announced underwater inspection schedule occurring on the Oswego Canal and Ithaca, underwater inspection will continue at the Terminal Wall in Oswego below Lock O-8 through Wednesday, October 8^th. Inspection schedule information has been added below.

• Wednesday, October 8^th – Terminal Wall in Oswego, below Lock O-8.
• Wednesday, October 8^th – Lock O-3 in Fulton, southeast and northwest approach walls.
• Wednesday, October 8^th – Lock O-5 in Minetto, southeast guide piers.
• Thursday, October 9^th - Lock O-2 in Fulton, lock chamber and surrounding area.
• Friday, October 10^th – Ithaca, western breakwater area.

The inspection areas will be marked by a dive boat and commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Boaters must come to a full stop, use caution, and proceed at a "No Wake" speed, and under no circumstances exceed 5 mph.
