Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal - Waterford Flight

September 9, 2025

 

Mariners are advised that Erie Canal Lock E-2 through Lock E-6, the Waterford Flight, that was announced as temporarily closed in a previous Notice to Mariners will reopen for navigation at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10th, however will only be able to pass vessels with a maximum beam of 20 feet due to an inoperable gate at Lock E-2. Boaters should plan their itineraries accordingly.
