Notice to Mariners

Western Erie Canal – Holley

August 25, 2025

 

Mariners are advised of an underwater inspection occurring on the Western Erie Canal on the following schedule:

• Tuesday, August 26^th – Holley Waste Wier, on the south side of the Canal, just east of the East Avenue Lift Bridge (E-187) over the Erie Canal in Holley.

 

The inspection area will be marked by commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Boaters should use caution in this area, come to a full stop and proceed at a "No Wake" speed of not more than 5 mph.
