Mariners are advised that Champlain Canal Lock C-7 in Fort Edward to Lock C-9 in Smith’s Basin that was announced closed in a previous Notice to Mariners will reopen to navigation beginning tomorrow, August 15, 2025. In an effort to conserve water on the summit, the NYSCC will implement the following locking schedule for recreational vessels:

- Lock C-7 will pass northbound traffic at 2PM, daily.
- Lock C-8 will pass traffic as it arrives from C-7 or C-9.
