Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Vischer Ferry

July 18, 2025

 

Mariners are advised that Erie Canal Lock E-7 in Vischer Ferry that was announced as closed in a previous Notice to Mariners has reopened for navigation, however the lock is only able to pass vessels with a maximum beam of 20 feet due to an inoperable gate until further notice. The lock will also remain open until 8:00p.m. tonight to accommodate boaters going to the Mohawk Harbor Fest in Schenectady.
