Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Scotia to Cranesville

July 8, 2025

 

Mariners are advised of lower than normal water levels due to debris in the moveable dams in the Mohawk River from Erie Canal Lock E-8 in Scotia to Lock E-10 Cranesville. Crews are working to clear the debris and water levels are expected to return to normal by the end of the week.

Boaters should proceed with caution through these areas and remain in the navigation channel.
