Erie Canal – Amsterdam to Tribes Hill
June 27, 2025
Mariners are advised that green buoys (Aids to Navigation) G241 and G243, between Erie Canal Lock E-11 in Amsterdam to Lock E-12 in Tribes Hill are off station, likely due to strong currents from recent heavy rainfall. These buoys are located just east of Lock E-12. Crews have been notified.
Boaters should proceed with caution in this area of the Canal system, pass on the south side of the buoy line and should travel at idle speed no more than 5 MPH until further notice. An update will follow
