Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Amsterdam

May 23, 2025

 

Mariners are advised of a submerged obstruction in the Erie Canal between Erie Canal Lock E-11 in Amsterdam and Lock E-12 in Tribes Hill.  The Canal Corporation has located a submerged vehicle that is in the navigation channel and is marked with a hazard buoy.  Mariners should proceed with caution through this area until further notice.
