Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Towns of Colonie & Halfmoon

March 31, 2025

 

Mariners are advised of firefighting training with military helicopters on the Mohawk River/Erie Canal between State Route 9 (Bridge E-6) and I-87 Northway (Bridge E-7A) from Tuesday, April 1st to Thursday, April 3rd. National Guard helicopters will be practicing using water buckets to scoop water from the river.
