Eastern Erie Canal - Waterford Harbor

Mariners are advised that the Waterford Canal Harbor will be restricted to vessels participating in the Waterford Tugboat Roundup from 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10th to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13th. No overnight docking will be available for pleasure or commercial vessels from 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10th to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 13th. This area of the Canal System will remain open to through-traffic. Transiting commercial traffic requiring clearance through this area must call the New York State Canal Corporation at (518) 461-0942, at least 24 hours in advance.
Additionally, a 25-yard security zone around participating vessels will be in effect during the Albany to Waterford tugboat parade from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11th. A 50-yard security zone will be in effect around the fireworks staging barges located in Waterford Harbor on Saturday, September 12th.
