Notice to Mariners

Eastern Erie Canal – Tribes Hill

August 30, 2026

 

Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal Lock E-12 in Tribes Hill is only able to pass vessels with a maximum beam of 21 feet until further notice due to an inoperable upper left gate and valve.  Westbound boaters are also required to tie to the north side of the lock chamber. Lockage/fill times will also be delayed. Boaters should plan their itineraries accordingly. Updates will follow.
