Notice to Mariners

Cayuga Lake

September 30, 2022

Mariners are advised of a report that Cayuga Lake red buoy (Lighted Aid to Navigation) R "38" has been reported off station.  This buoy is located north of Railroad Bridge (S-2), on Cayuga Lake.                    

Crews have been notified. Updates will follow.

Boaters should use caution when transiting this area.

The Canal system is scheduled to close to navigation at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. All vessel operators should plan their trips to ensure they exit the system by that time. For more information, please click here.
