Erie Armada Celebrates in Macedon, NY

The Erie Armada is set to debut Saturday, September 21 from 11:00 am – 8:30 pm, in Macedon Canal Park, with an immersive experience that combines the exceptional craft brewing of New York and unique food experiences with new recreational activities on the iconic Erie Canal.
Join us at Macedon Canal Park for a day of incredible craft beer and cider, paddling and creative craft challenges on the Erie Canal, farm to table creations from local chefs and food trucks.
Complete the paddling challenges with Genesee Waterways Center and win prizes, sample the exclusive collaboration beers and ciders, watch demo food preps by your new favorite chefs and get some tastings. Access to the curated cash bar and food trucks throughout the day!

The Albany Symphony Orchestra presents the 2019 American Music Festival Sing Out! New York, taking place in renowned concert venues in Troy and in public parks throughout New York State’s Capital Region. The Festival includes more than 22 concerts and related events over two weekends starting on Thursday, May 30.

Journey Along the Erie Canal is a bike ride along the beautiful Erie Canalway trail to raise awareness for the benefit of employment for all New Yorkers and to raise funds toward building employment opportunities and empowering people with disabilities.

Cycle the Erie Canal

July 7 – 14, 2019

21st Annual Bike Tour Buffalo to Albany
The 400-mile journey along the legendary Erie Canal ends in Albany on July 14. Along the way, cyclists will enjoy some of the finest scenery, most interesting history, and unparalleled cycling in the northeastern United States.
Covering between 40 and 60 miles per day, cyclists traveled along the Erie Canalway Trail, which is now 80 percent complete and will, by 2020, be completed as part of the statewide 750-mile Empire State Trail.

Enterprising Waters

In honor of the Bicentennial of the beginning of construction of the Erie Canal, New York State’s Office of Cultural Education will present this rich story in a 7,000 square foot exhibition at the New York State Muse-um. In collaboration with organizations on the canal corridor and across the state, the State Museum will tell the Erie Canal’s story with unique objects, documents, and images.
