Notice to Mariners

Erie and Oswego Canals

September 23, 2022

Mariners are advised of underwater inspections occurring on the Erie and Oswego Canals on the following schedule:

• Tuesday, September 27^th – Three Rivers Terminal (Clay) – Terminal area west of County Highway 57 Bridge (E-71) over the Erie Canal.
• Thursday, September 29^th – Oswego Canal Lock O-2 (Fulton) – Guide Pier above Lock O-2.   

The inspection areas will be marked by commercial diver’s flags while divers are in the water. Boaters should reduce speed and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when transiting these areas.
