Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Waterford to Frankfort
July 15, 2021
Mariners are advised that the Canal from Erie Canal Lock E-2 in Waterford to Lock E-15 in Fort Plain that were closed in a previous Notice to Mariners will reopen to navigation on Friday, July 16th at 7:00 am.
Erie Canal Lock E-16 in St. Johnsville to Lock E-19 in Frankfort will reopen to navigation on Friday at Noon.
Boaters should be aware of floating debris that has been generated by recent heavy rainfall and proceed with caution, at a "No Wake" speed as some debris may be hard to see. Some buoys (Aids to Navigation) may be off station. Boaters should also verify overhead clearances at bridges before proceeding.
