NOTICE TO MARINERS
UPDATED LOCK OPERATING SCHEDULE – CHAMPLAIN CANAL

The New York State Canal Corporation announced today the updated operating hours at Champlain Lock C-1 in Waterford. Normal 7-5 pm Sunday to Thursday and 7-10 pm Friday and Saturday until Labor Day for the 2020 navigation season.
Canal Lock Municipality Operating Schedule Hours
Champlain C-1 Waterford Sunday – Thursday until Labor Day 7 am – 5 pm
Friday and Saturday until Labor Day 7 am – 10 pm
Regular operating hours 7 am – 5 pm daily will resume after Labor Day.
The Canal system is scheduled to close to navigation on October 14, 2020.
The Canal Corporation appreciates the public’s patience during this time and urges all users to register to receive updates through the “Notice to Mariners” notification program at www.canals.ny.gov.
