Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Lockport/Gasport Update
August 12, 2022
Mariners are advised, until further notice, recreational vessel lockages at Lock E-34/35 in Lockport will be on the following daily schedule, Westbound Lockages:10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. Eastbound Lockages: 10:45 a.m. 1:15 p.m., 3:45 p.m.
Mariners are also advised the Gasport Lift Bridge (E-222) in Gasport over the Erie Canal remains inoperable in the down position, due to a mechanical issue. The Canal is closed to navigation between the Gasport Lift Bridge and the Gasport Guard Gate 17, east of the Gasport Lift Bridge, until further notice. Boaters should plan their itineraries accordingly.
