Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Brewerton/Baldwinsville

Mariners are advised that the large, high-profile shipment of beer making tanks on route to Rochester are mooring tonight at the lower wall of Erie Canal Lock E-24 Baldwinsville and the lower wall of Erie Canal Lock E-23 Brewerton. They will be continuing tomorrow at 5:30 AM westbound at a speed of about 5 MPH, taking about an hour to lock through each lock. Recreational vessels moored at the upper wall of Lock E-24 Baldwinsville are to moor as far west along the floating docks and wall as possible.
Mariners encountering this shipment are likely to experience delays. Plan itineraries accordingly.
