Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – City of Rochester and Town of Gates

Mariners are advised that the painting of Bridge E-165D (RG&E Pipe Bridge near Buffalo Road) over the Erie Canal is scheduled to commence Tuesday, May 30th and continue through the 2017 Navigation Season. Painting activities should not encroach on the vertical clearance or channel width. Signs will mark the work zone.
Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when transiting this area.
