Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Lockport
August 12, 2016
Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal at Lock E-34/35 in Lockport is projected to reopen at 10:00 AM tomorrow.
Containment booms are in the water one-half mile west of Lock E-34/35. Mariners are instructed to transit this area toward the south side of the channel and should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed past this location.
