Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Brockport to Middleport

Mariners are reminded that the Erie Canal between Guard Gate 12 (Brockport) and Guard Gate 16 (Middleport) will be closed to all navigation beginning at 6 pm on Sunday, June 26th, due to repairs beginning on Monday, June 27th. All vessels must be east of Guard Gate 12 or west of Guard Gate 16 by 6 pm on Sunday, June 26th, at which time these guard gates will be lowered in anticipation of temporarily draining this section of the Canal.
The 48-hour mooring limit has been suspended at Canal walls in Brockport, Spencerport, Medina and Middleport for the duration of these repairs.
The Canal Corporation regrets any inconvenience caused by these repairs, which are essential to protect the safety of the Canal System for users and residents alike.
