Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – City of Schenectady/Village of Scotia

Mariners are advised of bridge inspection activities on Bridge E-12, CSX/Amtrak over the Erie Canal in Schenectady now through October 23rd. The inspection involves the use of a bucket boat that could be blocking one of the two channel marked underpasses. If this is the case, mariners are to use the unblocked underpass.
Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when transiting this area and under no circumstances shall any vessel exceed 5 MPH.
