Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal - Erie & Niagara Counties
April 26, 2016
Mariners are advised that bridge washing activities have begun at the following locations along the Erie Canal:
- mile 320.8 Main St. Bridge (E-233), City of Lockport
- mile 321.0 Route 31 Bridge (E-234), City of Lockport
- mile 322.2 Route 93 Bridge (E-236A), City of Lockport
- mile 338.4 Webster St. Bridge (E-248), City of Tonawanda
These activities will continue until the end of the day on Friday, September 30, 2016.
Work is to be completed by pontoon boat. A safety spotter will be positioned on the craft to minimize disruption to the boating public.
Mariners should proceed with caution through these areas and stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed.
