Notice to Mariners
Oswego Canal Minetto/Oswego

Mariners are advised that Brookfield Renewable Energy Group will be lowering the water level behind the Dam at High Dam (between Locks 5 and 6) on the Oswego River approximately 1.5 feet below normal in order to facilitate replacement of flashboards on the dam and for the City of Oswego to conduct a dam inspection. The water level will be lowered starting early Tuesday July 14, 2015 in preparation for the work to be done on Tuesday July 14, 2015. The water level will be returned to normal the afternoon of Tuesday July 14, 2015. Dependent on the weather and/or flow conditions in the river, the flashboard repairs and dam inspection may be required to be cancelled and rescheduled for Wednesday July 15, 2015.
