Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Pittsford
May 26, 2023
Mariners are advised that the Pittsford Crew Club will hold a regatta starting on Saturday, May 27th at 8:00 am and ending on Sunday, May 28th at 5:00 pm. Approximately 200 racing shells will be participating in the event. Participants will assemble just west of the Cartersville Guard Gate and start each race just east of the Mitchell Road Bridge (E-136), then will proceed west to Schoen Place. Safety launches will be located at both ends of the course to monitor traffic. After crossing the finish line participants will continue west to the Pittsford Department of Public Works to exit the Canal. Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when approaching the event participants.
