Notice to Mariners
Cayuga-Seneca Canal – Waterloo
October 7, 2022
Mariners are advised that the Seneca Monster Regatta will be taking place on Sunday, October 9, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Approximately 35 kayaks and canoes will be participating in the event. The course loop begins at River Park Commons, in Waterloo, and extends into Seneca Lake before returning to River Park Commons. Navigation inspectors will be present on the course.
Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when approaching event participants. Slight delays may occur.

The Canal system is scheduled to close to navigation at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. All vessel operators should plan their trips to ensure they exit the system by that time. For more information, please click here.
