Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Orleans County
August 5, 2022
Mariners are advised of a large tree obstructing the navigation channel approximately 150 yards east of the Knowlesville Lift Bridge E-206 (CR 10) over the Erie Canal in Ridgeway. The tree is on the south side of the navigation channel, blocking approximately one third of the channel.
Boaters should proceed with caution and use the north side of the channel when traversing the area.
Canal maintenance forces have been notified.
