Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Towns of Amherst and Wheatfield
June 17, 2015
Mariners are advised that bridge repair activities on Niagara Falls Boulevard, US-62 (Bridge E-242A) over the Erie Canal are occurring and will continue through July 13th. Contractors will be using movable under-bridge personnel baskets that may occasionally encroach upon the air draft of the bridge. Spotters will be on site watching for vessel traffic so that the baskets can be moved as needed.
Slight delays might occur.
Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when transiting this area.
