Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Amherst
July 29, 2022
Mariners are advised of a regatta demonstration on Saturday, July 30th from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The demonstration will be held in the vicinity of the Amherst Veterans Canal Park with four rowing shells participating in the event. Rowing shells will travel from the West Canal Park and Marina to the Bear Ridge Road Bridge, CR 96 (E-242). Safety boats will monitor the event.
Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when approaching event participants.
