Erie Canal Lock E-32 – Vessel Lockings

Mariners are advised that effective today, the Canal Corporation encourages locking by multiple vessels at a time at Erie Canal Lock E-32 in Pittsford due to increased lock use and regulation of water levels along the Western Erie Canal.
Motorized and non-motorized vessels may be asked to wait for additional vessels to lock through at this location. Non-motorized operators seeking passage should call the lock operator at 585-586-1837 to inquire when the next motorized vessel is expected to arrive.
