Notice to Mariners

Champlain Canal – Fort Edward Yacht Basin

July 13, 2022

 

Mariners are advised of shoaling in the Fort Edward Yacht Basin that has reduced depth of the channel due to silt buildup with controlling depths of 6-7 feet in the approach channel starting at Buoy R "230”. This area is on the south side of the yacht basin.  Auxiliary buoys are placed marking the shallow areas. Updates will follow.

Boaters should use caution when traversing this area and stay to the north side of the yacht basin channel.
