Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Brewerton
July 1, 2022
Mariners are advised of a fireworks display on the Oneida Lake/Oneida River between I-81 (E-63A) & US-11 (E-64) bridges on Sunday, July 3rd at dusk.
Boaters transiting through the area are to maintain a safe distance from the fireworks source, travel at a "No Wake" speed of not more than 5 mph and be aware of denser than usual traffic and anchored spectator boats in the area. Law enforcement will be present.
Erie Canal Lock E-23 in Brewerton will remain open until midnight to accommodate boaters leaving the event.
