Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Albion
June 10, 2022
Mariners are advised that the Albion Strawberry Festival, in the Village of Albion, will hold a turtle race in the Canal on Saturday, June 11, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The event will start at the Main St. Lift Bridge (Bridge E-200) and continue east to the Ingersoll St. Lift Bridge (Bridge E-199). Floats will be set in the Canal to mark the course with a Fire Rescue Boat and kayaks positioned along the course.
Boaters may be delayed for a short period of time, during the race and should plan their itineraries accordingly.
