Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal

Mariners are advised that high water levels from recent heavy rainfall along sections of the Erie Canal from Lock E-7 (Vischer Ferry) to Lock E-8 (Scotia) have reduced the vertical clearance of many bridges over the Erie Canal. Boaters should verify overhead clearances at bridges before proceeding.
