Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Palmyra to Macedon
July 28, 2021
Mariners are advised that Erie Canal Lock E-29 (Palmyra) to Lock E-30 (Macedon) that was announced as closed in a previous Notice to Mariners will reopen to navigation on Thursday, July 29th at 7:00 am.
Boaters are also reminded that the navigation pool between Erie Canal Lock E-29 and Lock E-30 continues to operate at a reduced depth. Vessels requiring less than 7 feet of draft can navigate this section of the Erie Canal until further notice. This change is an increase of 2 feet over the previous reduced depth.
