Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal –Wayne, Monroe and Orleans Counties
July 2, 2021
Mariners are advised that bridge inspection activities are scheduled to begin on Monday, July 5th and continue through the end of the navigation season on New York State Department of Transportation bridges between Glasgow Street, SR 414 (E-94) in the Village of Clyde, Wayne County and North Main Street, SR 237 (E-188) over the Erie Canal, in the Town of Murray, Orleans County.
There are 26 bridges to be inspected. These activities will continue until the close of the navigation season. Work is to be completed by UBIU Truck, Bucket Trucks, and a work boat. A safety spotter will be positioned on the craft to minimize disruption to the boating public. Mariners should proceed with caution through these areas and stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed.
