Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Fairport
May 20, 2021
Mariners are advised that the Main Street Lift Bridge (E-128) over the Erie Canal in the village of Fairport, Monroe County, has bridge repair activities occurring through the end of the day Thursday, July 1, 2021. The normal overhead clearance will not be affected. The normal navigation channel width clearance will be reduced to one half the normal width by a barge doing work beneath the bridge. The navigation channel is outlined lined by white buoys.
Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a “No Wake” speed when traversing this area.
