Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Macedon
April 30, 2021
Mariners are advised of electrical conductor replacement work by the New York Power Authority over the Erie Canal. This work will occur on Tuesday, May 4th until the end of the day, depending on weather. The worksite location is west of Bridge (E-122) Canandaigua Rd. over the Erie Canal, between Buoy R "798" and Buoy R "800".
A watchman will alert workers of approaching vessels who will suspend work to allow vessels to pass through the work area. Mariners must reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when traversing the work area.
