Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal/Mohawk River

October 7, 2019

Mariners are advised that high water levels along Mohawk River between Erie Canal Lock E-19 in Frankfort to Lock E-20 in Whitesboro have reduced the vertical clearance of the following bridges to 20’, which is below the governing 21’ for this section of canal.

  • Bridge E-42, Dyke Road

  • Bridge E-43, Leland Ave.

  • Bridge E-44A, Genesee St.

  • Bridge E-44B, SR 8 & 12

  • Bridge E-46, railroad, MHWA (ADC)

  • Bridge E-47A Mohawk St.

  • Bridge E-47B, NYS Thruway, I-90
