Erie Canal – Gasport/Lockport/Tonawanda
September 6, 2019
Mariners are advised that bridge inspections will be occurring on the western Erie Canal according to the following schedule:

Mon, Tue, Sep 9th & Sep 10th – Slayton Settlement Road (E-220) in Gasport

Wed, Sep 11th – Orangeport Road (E-223) in Gasport

Thu, Sep 12th – Canal Road (E-224) in Lockport
-
Fri, Sep 13th – Day Road (E-225) in Lockport
-
Mon, Sep 16th – North Adams Street (E-229) in Lockport
-
Tue, Sep 17th – Cold Spring Road(E-226) in Lockport
-
Wed, Sep 18th – Matt Murphy Way (E-228) in Lockport
-
Thu, Sep 19th – Exchange Street (E-230) in Lockport
-
Fri, Sep 20th – Stevens Street (E-235) in Lockport
-
Mon, Sep 23rd – SR 270, Campbell Road (E-241A) in Amherst
-
Tue, Wed, Sep 24th & Sep 25 – SR 384, Delaware Street (E-247) in Tonawanda
Channel width may be reduced, and slight delays may occur due to a tugboat and barge moving below each bridge being inspected.
Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No Wake" speed when transiting these areas.
