Notice to Mariners
Canal Opening Update
May 22, 2019
Mariners are advised that Erie Canal Lock E-11 in Amsterdam to Lock E-15 in Fort Plain will open at noon today. Mariners may proceed west as far as St. Johnsville Marina.
Locks E-16 in St. Johnsville and E-17 in Little Falls will remain closed today due to continuing high water and swift currents. Locks E-16 in St. Johnsville and E-17 in Little Falls will open tomorrow morning at 7:00 am, Thursday May 23,2019.

Additional mooring space is available at the Fonda Terminal wall and the upstream side of Lock E-14, subject to available space and approval of Canal Corporation employees.
