Notice to Mariners
Oswego Canal – Town of Hinmansville
May 17, 2019
Mariners are advised of bridge repair activities on Hinmansville Rd. (C.R. 46), Bridge O-5 over the Oswego River that will continue from now through June. Lighted scaffolding will be placed below the bridge, on the southwest end of the bridge. It is expected that the scaffolding will slightly encroach into the navigation channel. The normal overhead clearance will not be affected. CANAL CONSTRUCTION signs will be posted at both ends of the work zone.
Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a “No Wake” speed when traversing the work area.
