Champlain & eastern Erie Canals

Mariners are advised of the following bridge inspection schedule for structures over Champlain and eastern Erie Canals:

Monday, September 17^th

• E-2 Fourth Street over the Erie Canal

• E-3 Route 32 over the Erie Canal

• E-14A I-890 over the Erie Canal

Tuesday, September 18^th

• E-11 Freemans Bridge Road over the Erie Canal

• C-1 112^th Street over the Hudson River

Wednesday, September 19^th

• C-11 Lock 6 Road over the Champlain Canal

• C-12 Fort Miller Road over the Champlain Canal

• C-13 North River Road over the Champlain Canal

Thursday, September 20^th

• C-10 US Route 4 over the Champlain Canal

• C-17 East Street over the Champlain Canal

• C-19 New Swamp Road over the Champlain Canal

• C-22 Baldwin Corners Road over the Champlain canal

Friday, September 21^st

• C-10 US Route 4 over the Champlain Canal (cont.)

• C-30 Saunders Street over the Champlain Canal

Monday, September 24^th

• Brayton Aver over the Glens Falls Feeder Canal (navigable to paddlers only)

Bridge inspections can be water-based, temporarily restricting the width of the channel; or bridge-based, temporarily restricting overhead clearance for a portion of the channel width; or a combination of both.

Mariners are to come to a complete stop and then transit past the bridge at idle speed.
