Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Town of Schuyler

Mariners are advised that the lower right (north) gate of Erie Canal Lock E-19 Frankfort is undergoing maintenance, and so vessels will need to pass through the left (south) gate until further notice.
Captains with vessels with a beam greater than 22’ need to contact the Navigation Program Manager directly at (518) 461-0942 to schedule manual operation of the lower right gate. This will only be done for vessels with beams greater than the opening width of one miter gate.
