A celebration of the traditions, cultural and other contributions of the African American community.
This event has been always open to the general public, and it is FREE of charge throughout the whole day.

20th Anniversary Syracuse Latino Festival
The annual Syracuse Latino American Festival brings people together to celebrate Syracuse's vibrant Latin cultures through merengue, reggaeton, bachata, and salsa music; folk art and crafts; karaoke contest, and authentic Latin American food.
This Cultural public family event is trying to reinvent and recreate itself, into a proud peaceful representation of culture and a friendly healthy demonstration of the Latino people in this area and beyond.
This event has been always open to the general public, and it is FREE of charge throughout the whole day.

2022 Erie Canal museum is offering free guided tours
The Erie Canal Museum will also offer free guided tours of the Syracuse Weighlock Building on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
The building located at 318 Erie Blvd E, Syracuse, NY 13202, is a historic structure where boats traveling on the canal were weighed and tolls collected.
The building’s first day of operation was July 22, 1850.
