Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Waterford/Schenectady

Mariners are advised that a large, high-profile shipment of beer making tanks will be on route to Rochester starting Monday, May 22nd and Tuesday, May 23rd. The first tug & barge will be entering Lock E2 at 7:00 AM Monday and assembling a float of one tug and two barges immediately east of Guard Gate 2. From there it will head west. The second float of one tug and two barges will enter E2 on Tuesday and will be traveling about a day behind the first.
Mariners encountering this shipment are likely to experience slight delays. Plan itineraries accordingly.
